D DOUBLE E
It’s been almost two whole decades since D Double E, the former N.A.S.T.Y Crew MC and one of half of the iconic grime duo Newham Generals, first stepped onto the scene, debuting in jungle, but fans have seemingly been content with his rave-ready reload bars—and idiosyncrasies on singles—that having a full body of work is merely a hat-tip to his already legendary status. His latest LP, Jackuum!, is out now.
Representing Baltimore, MD, USA, Joe Nice is universally recognized as the ambassador of the dubstep sound in North America and has been instrumental in the global growth and success of dubstep for over a decade. He is North America’s first and most respected dubstep DJ.
A HUNDRED DRUMS
A Hundred Drums is a Northern-California based producer/DJ focused on the interplay between the origin and evolution of her unique sound. Inspired by the roots of bass music, her live sets are deep, evocative, seductive and moving. Each pulse holds the intention of the drum to align with the heart of the dance floor.
DRTY HBTZ is the brainchild of Minneapolis based Kelly Gilbert. Originally from Houston and raised in Colorado, she blends the styles of slowed n’ throwed hip hop with gritty saturation and industrial style dubstep. However, she is certainly not limited to those two styles, having experience with bassline, UK bass, drum and bass and half-time. Making her DJ debut in 2010, her abilities have proven the test of time. Her talent shines through her smooth transitions and attention to detail. She has played with bass music hard hitters such as Basiclee, Dalek One, Cubs, Mr. K, Flava D, Shades; and legendary hip hop artists such as Madchild, The Grouch and Eligh, Gift of Gab, and Killah Priest – proving how many styles she can bless the decks with. DRTY HBTZ made her production debut in 2018 and has quickly formed her own sound and made her mark. If you are ever able to catch a live performance by DRTY HBTZ, jump on the opportunity. Her skills on the decks are extremely versatile and well honed.
