Join us for this special night kicking off Anna Stine‘s Homecoming Tour supporting the release of her debut album, Company of Now. Likened to the sounds of powerful female artists such as Stevie Nicks, Joni Mitchell, and Billie Holiday (Mike Pengra, MPR), Company of Now delves into the delicate dance of being present in the midst of growth and discomfort. Through songs that speak to both suffering and self- acceptance, she encourages listeners to stand tall, breathe easy, and step from the ground they’re standing on.
“The energy she brings is blues-inflected with a strong sense of personal narrative; her husky voice, and the slight glissando to her end-phrases, create a dreamy and slightly dark flow of folk and rock-inspired lyricism.” -Chillfiltr
Anna will be joined by producer and guitarist Robert Bell, a multi-genre performer who has become a key player in the diverse Twin Cities music scene. His guitar work, arrangements and producing include features on Minnesota Public Radio, National Public Radio, American Public Media and Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion.
Hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Regional Dialect plays soul music with a twist of hip-hop and blues.
